Did you know.. there is someone who knows and
understands you completely? He knows your past,
your current circumstances and your future. Your every
thought, word and deed is known by Him.
In fact, you were known by Him even while you
were in your mother's womb. That someone is
God.
God knows your fears and worries, greatest
hopes, ambitions and dreams. He is aware of the
good times and the bad. Just like us He knows what
it is like to bear pain both physical and emotional
because He came and lived in this world.
Jesus suffered in many ways: being mocked and rejected by
His own people, disowned and abandoned by His closest
friends whom He loved and His life was ended by violence
and murder, in spite of the fact that He was
innocent.
Jesus can identify with your pain.
So Jesus was like us although He was perfect and
without sin, unlike us. Every person who ever lived
has done wrong whether they have lied, stolen, gossiped,
lusted after someone or whatever we all are guilty before
God. This is why Jesus came.
God wants to be a Father to
you. No-one will ever love you like He
does. He wants to give purpose to our lives and
take care of us but the sin in our lives stands in the
way of us getting to God because He is holy. How
would you fare if you stood before Him today?
Everyone would be guilty before God. When we live our
lives refusing to acknowledge Him and doing wrong
(whether in thought, word or deed) we cut ourselves off
from God. He cannot tolerate our sin and just like
a judge in court He must deal with us. We must accept
there is a penalty for the wrong we have done and for
living our lives without God. The consequence is
eternal separation from God but here's the good
news: God loves you passionately and offers you a
choice. Jesus came and took upon himself the
penalty of your sin, living a perfect life and receiving
the punishment we deserve - dying in our place by
crucifixion on a cross.
His love for you is far greater than you could
ever imagine and He doesn't want you to face his
righteous anger on Judgement Day.
"For God so loved the world that He gave
His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall
not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16, the
Bible.
God stands before you today offering you
forgiveness for all that you have done wrong. He
offers you a relationship with Him and a whole new life
with Him by your side as Father and child. Would
you believe he is saying to you today 'Child of mine, be
mine'. This is the most important decision you'll
ever make - one that will affect you for
eternity. Please know that you are so special to
God - special enough for Jesus to lay aside His
majesty in heaven, come down to earth and die for
you.
Will you be reconciled to God? Will you
acknowledge your sins? If you want to be right with
God, know the assurance of His forgiveness and spend
eternity with Him then pray something like
this:-
"Dear God. I know I have done so
many things wrong in my lifetime. Please forgive
me. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose
from the dead. Help me to live in a way that
pleases you. I turn away from all that I know is
wrong in my life. Reveal yourself to me so that I
may know you for myself.
Thank you. Amen".
Get yourself a Bible to read, pray daily and
find yourself a bible-teaching church. May God bless
you.
